Why I do this work…

High performing teams possess customer-obsession, clarity on the direction they are going, technical + functional expertise, and problem-solving and decision-making skills. These characteristics originate from our thinking mind. 🧠 🤔 💭

But they also possess interpersonal skills, a culture of support and development, and resilience - all of which are related to emotional intelligence, which originates in the heart. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

I work with teams not because I care about increasing productivity in the workplace. (That is a nice byproduct of this work.)

I care about this because I want to create environments where we can bring our whole selves to work. Where there is space to innovate on the basis of our diversity and creativity. And where, instead of seeing people as resources to extract value from, we treat everyone as the unique bundle of potentiality that we are.

Because we are being called to create products and services that meet deep needs in increasingly challenging environments with fewer and fewer resources. So if we don’t up level our capacity to be present and do work in a more regenerative way, we are in trouble. 🥺

[And it turns out that the very same things that help you navigate groups at work, also help navigate personal relationships. 🥰 ]
